Meet Chrissy
Finding the right therapist is one of the hardest parts of the therapeutic journey. It is vital to find someone who you click with and is going to listen to your needs. This is someone that should make you feel comfortable and supported. When working with me, I want you to feel that you can do this work, and that you will have a safe space to do so.
Paris, France
As a person (she/her): I like to joke, have fun, and make light when appropriate. Outside of being a counselor I love to travel. I have been to all 50 states, and I am now working on traveling the world. I enjoy reading way too many YA and mystery novels, and I am an avid Harry Potter fan (Slytherin). I enjoy spending time with my husband, friends, family, and most importantly, my four cats. My hobbies include involvement in community and professional theater, flipping furniture, exercise, DIY home renovation, and interior design. I am an ESFJ. My enneagram is 8w7. I love to adventure, try new things, and create new goals for myself. Being a therapist is one of my favorite things about myself, and I consider it such an honor to do this for a living.
As a therapist: Many of my clients will describe me as straight forward. I don’t like to beat around the bush. Throughout my own journey in therapy, I did not enjoy talk therapy, it felt boring and anti-climactic. In my opinion, therapy is meant to be collaborative. These sessions are your sessions. I am here to guide you, but you will be doing the work. Therapy takes a lot of work, and you may not be ready for it. But that is okay, we will work on what you are ready for. One thing you will not have to worry about from me is judgement. The world (and yourself) judge you enough. I strive to create a unique experience tailored to your needs. When we work together, I will nudge you when you need it, laugh with you, and maybe even sometimes cry with you. But the most important take away is to always remember that we are human, and we are all in this together. We all make mistakes, we all cry, we all feel low, we all have past traumas. But my favorite thing? We are all resilient and capable of healing.
